Gwen officially made it through pre-school! There were a couple of times in there where I was doubtful, mainly the days that her teacher told me she refused to participate because "it was boring", but we made it through and now have a certificate to prove it! She has learned all her letters and their sounds and can count to about 15. Her handwriting has gotten to be SO good! And she has really improved in her playing well with others skills (though she still runs with scissors- but that may just be in her genes, we'll see).
The school did a little graduation ceremony. Magic was the theme and so all the little kids came dressed up as fairies, princesses, knights and wizards. To introduce each of the children on stage, the teacher had asked each one if they could have one wish granted what would it be and read their responses as the child walked out. There were a lot of wishes for a thousand toys and puppies and things like that, but when Gwens turn came up, her wish was that her mommy would feel better soon. I just about started crying. She is such a tender heart. I am so proud of my girl! Of all the pre-school achievements I could brag about, her sympathy towards others is the most impressive I'd say. Way to go, Gwen!
